TAMPA FIRM ANNOUNCES ITS 2nd PATENT APPROVAL FOR KEY SERVICE
THEInsuranceAdvisor.COM receives its 2nd patent for its Confidential Policy Evaluation (CPE) system.
Barry D. Flagg, CFP, CLU, ChFC, inventor and founder of THEInsuranceAdvisor.COM, Inc. announced today that the firm has received a 2nd patent for its method of evaluating permanent life insurance policies
Patent No. 7,698,158 is for the company’s Confidential Policy Evaluation (CPE) system evaluates permanent life insurance products principally on five factors of suitability:
· Financial strength and claims-paying ability
· Price competitiveness
· Pricing stability
· Relative policy value and liquidity
· Performance of invested assets underlying cash value
The CPE system evaluates policies on these five criteria and publishes a rating in relation to industry benchmarks. These patented benchmarks are derived from industry-standard mortality tables and expense ratios and are refined by the industry’s largest database of Cost of Insurance (COI) charges, fixed administrative expenses (FAEs), cash value based “wrap-fees” (e.g., VUL M&Es) and premium loads and investment performance, that can then measure the suitability of any permanent policy.
“Clients and Advisors accept and readily use empirical rating systems,” said Barry Flagg, “Clients use rating systems in their everyday life and understand the difference between a 5 hotel and a 3 hotel. Investment Advisors use star ratings and other rankings in rendering investment advice. This patent reinforces the utility of the CPE system as a similar research tool for permanent life insurance.”
THEInsuranceAdvisor.COM was founded in 1999 in Tampa, Florida. It provides services and research to professional financial advisors, accountants, tax attorneys and trust officers for the management of their clients’ insurance portfolios.
